Spring, summer, fall
Spring is often short after a snowy winter, while the summer is pleasantly warm due to the clear air and high altitude and not as oppressively hot and humid as in the Rhine Valley. The nights are refreshing and cool. Autumn is mostly sunny, mild thanks to inversion weather conditions and usually offers breathtaking views when the Rhine Valley is already covered in high fog.
